libvirt-1.8.0 switched from using YAJL to json-c for JSON parsing, see https://gitlab.com/libvirt/libvirt/-/compare/v10.7.0...v10.8.0

especially https://gitlab.com/libvirt/libvirt/-/blob/314fd5f40cd43c8828ab89a773de0b4148cb5def/NEWS.rst

this should fix #16499 (closed)
