feat: secondboot kernel cmdline parameter
This is a proposal to add a kernel cmdline parameter called secondboot
which takes a URI that, at the end of the setup-alpine
procedure, is added to /etc/init.d/secondboot
which is enabled to run on the first reboot after setup-alpine
.
The secondboot
URI would be downloaded and executed as a shell script, and then secondboot
would be removed or at least disabled.
I am prepared to create a draft MR with a proof of concept for further discussion. However, it's not so much difficult as needs some thinking about how (or if) to implement from a security perspective.
Thoughts?
