Improve the documentation meta structure
@ncopa and i discussed on the (idealistic) need to move all wiki information either into domain-specific manpages or the alpine handbook
Here are the key insights from our discussion so far:
- we both liked how consistent the OpenBSD docs / manpages are
- at best a common source language for both mandoc and handbook (transpiling from Markdown
👀 ) - find a head of documentation (ideally organizing and helping others in the effort)
- manpages should lie in the same repo as the package code to keep them in sync
- "the sources for the install guide should probably be with alpine-conf, where the setup scripts are" @ncopa
- "docs for unattended installs should go with tiny-cloud docs" @ncopa
The intuitive goal would be to offer a low barrier to either search for documentation (user perspective) or improve / edit (maintainer / developer perspective)
