@sertonix Thank you for your concern. I have handled this without needing a pkgrel bump by clearing the dl-cdn cache. A new subpackage causes buildrepo to rebuild the package, so flite-static is now available, and with the cached cleared the package is installable without signature errors, so a bump is not needed.

There is still a file conflict between the old flite-dev and the new flite-static. Maybe this is unlikely enough to cause any issues.

@sertonix i would like to better understand the problem you are seeing. i can apk add flite-dev flite-static just fine. so if i am understanding you correctly, you either have the old flite-dev cached somewhere, or already have it installed (i guess what i am asking is how do i reproduce what you are seeing when i can installing flite-dev and flite-static just fine)? would this be solved by clearing your cache (as i did by clearing the dl-cdn cache), or by using --available as you yourself advocated in #16900 (comment 479950)?

Yes, such error would be solved by --available. Just wanted to ensure smooth installation in any case.
