community/htpdate: move from testing
- use boring URLs in default config
- prefix URLs with http:// to make it obvious what protocol is being used, and how to configure to make requests over HTTPS
- update init script
I have nothing against any of the projects in the URLs but my reasoning to change is the following:
- we don't need to send a lot of "meaningless" traffic in their direction, like if this aport becomes popular
- the ones I chose to switch to run their own large scale infrastructure (they are not all fronted by one of them), can handle a lot of traffic and care about correct time (and I don't care about the previously relevant web page at the end, other than that I refuse to call it anything else)
I tried to change this to run as the ntp
user, without succes, just get the "Only root can change time" message. Could this be run as the ntp
user and/or with limited capabilities?-u ntp
in HTP_OPTIONS
not sure if capabilities=^cap_sys_time
could be used and be meaningful in the init script
