The apk-polkit-rs patch is basically since @Cogitri might take a while to take care of it. Finally, the AppStream data is not taken care of by GNOME Software but by something else, which is more "distro integrated". This solves lots of issues we currently have, from the buggy external-appstream-urls implementation, to the impossibility to keep track of updates between versions. And is also soooo much simple. A 100LOC python script :D
