It's a dependency for gnome-latex and it's going to be one for gedit, should take maintenance of that too.
gnome-latex:
It's no longer maintained as a GNOME project but someone took over maintainership.
This reverts the drop, moves it from community, takes over maintainership and upgrades to 3.41.2.
