libpurple: why is -xmpp split?
Hi, bitlbee and libpurple developer here.
I got a report from a user confused about why the jabber plugin is missing. After some debugging we found about the libpurple-xmpp package.
The commit that changed it seems to be:
This seems like an odd choice, given how it’s one of the most popular protocols in the builtins, and other than IRC, all the ones left in the package are fairly unpopular:
I’m not very familiar with the policies and procedures of alpine linux, but I think merging back those packages would be better for end users, if possible.
