ffmpeg - "Error relocating /usr/bin/ffprobe: av_spherical_tile_bounds: symbol not found"
In v3.7, the following error by youtube-dl flags up a bug in ffprobe, which is provided by ffmpeg:
$ youtube-dl —extract-audio —audio-format mp3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=videocodehere
[…]
ERROR: WARNING: unable to obtain file audio codec with ffprobe
A sound file was created by youtube-dl in webm format, not mp3 format, as requested.
$ ffprobe —version
Error relocating /usr/bin/ffprobe: av_spherical_tile_bounds: symbol
not found
Error relocating /usr/bin/ffprobe: av_spherical_projection_name:
symbol not found
Error relocating /usr/bin/ffprobe: av_fourcc_make_string: symbol not
found
The same happens when upgrading youtube-dl and ffprobe to edge.
Perhaps what is going on is that upstream changed the library name of a package for compatibility-reasons, as discussed in a comment to similar errors in another distro’s package at https://github.com/OnionIoT/OpenWRT-Packages/issues/4 ?
