ClamAV - a couple of issues
Hello,
just did a fresh install from 3.3.2 ISO (64 bit) and noticed a couple of things with clamav:
-
staring clamav results in“checkpath: owner ‘-m’ not found”.
Removing “-m 750” from the two checkpath lines in /etc/init.d/clamd fixes this. -
You have to manually copy /etc/clamav/clamd.conf.sample and /etc/clamav/freshclam.conf.sample to /etc/clamav/clamd.conf and /etc/clamav/freshclam.conf.
With acf-clamav, you cannot edit the config files (Applications > ClamAV >Expert in ACF menu) because they don’t exist, so this is more of a problem in acf than on cli (if using ACF, you may not have CLI access to copy the files across manually). I’d suggest that either the files are copied when installing acf-clamav (or perhaps just clamav), or at least there is an option in acf-clamav menu to generate config files from the sample ones?
Hopefully someone can confirm my findings :)
Thanks.
