Unable to translate PyPy with Python 2.7.11 from Linux Alpine repository
I’m trying to build a standard PyPy package for Alpine Linux and I am
unable to do so using the Python interpreter provided by Alpine.
The root cause for the failure seems to be a the following patch applied
on ctypes:
https://bugs.alpinelinux.org/projects/alpine/repository/revisions/78e9529bfe15f2cff42b4e124ebfb82c5707669d/entry/main/python/musl-find\_library.patch
It seems like the patch expects a full path while PyPy uses a relative
path which should be supported.
See discussion in downstream bug here: https://bitbucket.org/pypy/pypy/issues/2234/unable-to-translate-pypy-with-python-2711
The build log is attached to this issue.
