community/extra-cmake-modules: unnecessary dependency?
Package Information
- Package name: extra-cmake-modules
- Package version: extra-cmake-modules-6.0.0-r0
- Alpine version: 3.20.0_alpha20240329 (edge)
- Alpine architecture: x86_64
Summary
This package depends on qt*-qttools-dev
, which, in turn, wants a lot more dependencies. But, IMO, this package isn't tied to Qt. In fact majority of cmake modules in it (Find7z
, FindGperf
, FindLibGit2
, FindWayland
, etc, etc, etc) are completely autonomous and useful in totally unrelated projects.
So I'd propose to drop qt5-qttools-dev
and qt6-qttools-dev
and leave cmake as the only extra-cmake-modules dependency. This will match what, for example, archlinux do. Wdyt?
Steps to reproduce
Install extra-cmake-modules
