Summary
Once again – see e. g. #14707 (closed) – the shipped version of py3-msgpack is too new for borgbase, which bails out if the version is untested. According to upstream (https://github.com/borgbackup/borg/issues/8144) the new version appears to work just fine in tests and will be added as a supported version in the next release of borgbase.
Since this seems to happen on occasion with no indication of ever stopping, isn't it possible to either have the borgbase package depend on a specific version of py3-msgpack or ship it with its own version of the library altogether?
