Disable lua scripts support in Weechat
In the same spirit than #15633 (closed)
Looking at the 369 weechat scripts, only 8 are in ruby:
- emoji.lua: "Translate
:shortcode:
to proper emoji", available in python as well - http_item.lua: "Bar item with HTTP source.", to fetch some page from the internet and put it in your statusbar, last update 2013
- mpdbitl.lua: "Set Bitlbee's status message with current MPD track.", last update in 2012, the world doesn't need yet another music-based-spam-plugin
- nick_complete_wrapper.lua: "Wrap nick completion with custom prefix and/or suffix.", can likely be done natively
- oldswarner.lua: Warn user if about to paste URL already existing in buffer, last update in 2015, seems a tad useless, by why not.
- pastebuf.lua: "View content of pastebin site in a buffer.", just use a web browser... last update in 2014
- text_effects.lua: "Adds effects to words surrounded by certain characters.", can be done natively
- urlselect.lua: "Interactively select URL with keyboard and perform some commands on it.", seems also useless
My point being: all lua plugins are either useless, deprecated, unmaintained, … except one or two, so we should to pull the plug, and disable lua in weechat, like it's currently done for php, tcl, guile, ruby and javascript.
