vboot-utils: crossystem doesn't work, try including mosys and flashmap
Hello,
I am a user of postmarketOS on a google-kukui-juniper device. On ChromeOS, there is a utility known as crossystem, which is packaged by Alpine Linux within vboot-utils. I think it is best described as a utility that changes firmware settings, and in my use case, I wish to disable USB booting (or toggle) after having installed postmarketOS.
On my postmarketOS install, I am not able to execute the command "[sudo] crossystem dev_boot_usb=0". The output is as follows:
execv() of mosys failed
waitpid() or mosys error
Parameter dev_boot_usb is read-only
I have found an issue on the Gentoo issue tracker that suggests the availability of mosys and flashmap to rectify this issue. I have not found a binary nor compiled either of these projects myself, so I am unsure as to whether this will resolve the issue. I am submitting this issue and hoping someone can continue further.
