installed fwupd and started the process manually..
fwupd refresh - got an error about polkit.. installed polkit and started manually

restarted fwupd and polkit, did not seem to make a difference

export ROOTFS=xfs export BOOTFS=xfs export TZ=America/New_York
Other than that.. standard install.. eth0 via dhcp
I can build a usb and flash firmware oob from windows..
(usb needs to be fat32, run hp firmware choose flash image from usb.. but disk must be fat32 first.. need rufus.. )
After all that.. firmware is manually updated but samsung drive still has a complaint..
Just looking to document this, a fix would be great.. but just for the historical purposes..
I could not seem to update a system firmware via fwupd.
