QEMU/KVM guest integration is broken: spice-vdagentd crashes, spice-agent doesn't auto-start
This is about installing Alpine as a guest OS in QEMU/KVM and installing a DE (e.g., XFCE) on it. Users would want guest integration such as copy-and-paste, automatic resolution, or file drag-and-drop. In other Linux distributions, just installing the spice-agent is enough.
First, spice-vdagentd crashes when spice-agent starts. spice-agent does not seem to start unless this service is running, but as soon as spice-agent starts, the service seems to crash (status shows "crashed").
Secondly, unlike other distributions like Ubuntu, installing spice-agent does not register it in the start-up entries of the DE (e.g., XFCE Settings' Autostart). As far as I am guessing, space-agent must be running otherwise guest integration does not work, so I do not see why anyone who installs it would not want it to be in the start-up entries of the DE.
Lastly, there is no Alpine wiki manual about setting up guest integration tools. If there are some special things that users must do to set up guest integration for Alpine Linux, there should be some sort of manual.
