linux-lts, linux-edge: Kernel doesn't have CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE_ROTATION
Not quite sure if this is intentional, but Alpine is the only distro I found whose kernels don't include CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE_ROTATION
.
This is needed so one can pass fbcon=rotate:1
to the boot command line to work with rotated displays. Many Windows tablets seem to have a rotated display, which makes especially setup-alpine
rather painful to use. (Once installed this is less of an issue, as one can rotate the X display via xrandr
independently from this)
I'd thus suggest enabling this kernel config parameter at least on the x86_64 build.
