dhcpcd is not monitored by openrc correctly
Openrc fails to track the status of the dhcpcd process. It reports the status as "crashed" even though the process is still running. You also cannot use openrc to end or restart the process anymore.
$ rc-service dhcpcd start
* Caching service dependencies ... [ ok ]
* Starting dhcpcd ...
no such user dhcpcd [ ok ]
$ rc-service dhcpcd status
* status: crashed
$ rc-service dhcpcd stop
* WARNING: you are stopping a boot service
* Caching service dependencies ... [ ok ]
* Stopping dhcpcd ...
* start-stop-daemon: no matching processes found
In etc/init.d/dhcpcd
you need to add supervisor=supervise-daemon
to fix this issue. Source: https://forum.artixlinux.org/index.php/topic,1494.0.html
