In system disk mode, alpine seems to have switched itself to diskless mode!
Hi,
First, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post about my issue. If it's not appropriate, I'll move it, just tell me where.
There are several months I installed Alpine in system disk mode. And there are a few days ago, I don't know exactly when, I started to experience data loss between reboots, surprisingly. And since I realize that whenever I make changes to the disk, the changes are not persisting after a reboot. For example, if I create a file in my /home/username directory, after a reboot, the file is gone!
It seems like Alpine switched to diskless mode itself because for sure it doesn't come from me! Maybe after a system update using apk upgrade -U
? I don't know if this is possible, and if it is, it's a big problem, obviously. Apart from that, the system seems to work correctly.
I'm pretty lost about what to do, what to check to bring back the system to a system disk mode. Have you an idea about the problem ?
