Libvirt/QEMU usb not working anymore
I use Alpine to run a fully virtualized desktop system. That means I need good USB support, plug a device into one port and it should show up in the virtual machine. Put it in another it should appear in another. Until 3.13 I use custom qemu args to map the USB port to a vm. But that doesn't work anymore in 3.14, so I'm checking Arch to see if it's an alpine or a configuration issue. It doesn't work on Arch either, but I found that create a dev rule with an xml to represent the USB device and attach it to the machine via virsh attach-device xml. This works on Arch and Alpine 3.13. But still not on 3.14 and higher, in 3.14 and 3.15 the qemu seems to have no usb support anymore. So now I try edge, and still virsh is not able to connect a usb to qemu. I'm very sorry I can't provide a patch or anything, as I can't see any problem in the build scripts. Can you please fix the usb issues for virtual machines running libvirt and qemu. I love my Alpine system very much.
