testing/termbox: doesn't look in /etc/terminfo
Termbox-based programs (like mle or gotop) don't work out of the box. According to strace, termbox doesn't look in /etc/terminfo:
openat(AT_FDCWD, "/home/admin/.terminfo/t/tmux-256color", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
openat(AT_FDCWD, "/home/admin/.terminfo/74/tmux-256color", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
openat(AT_FDCWD, "/lib/terminfo/t/tmux-256color", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
openat(AT_FDCWD, "/lib/terminfo/74/tmux-256color", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
openat(AT_FDCWD, "/usr/share/terminfo/t/tmux-256color", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
openat(AT_FDCWD, "/usr/share/terminfo/74/tmux-256color", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
9| errors encountered; from /home/admin/.cache/gotop/errors.log:
openat(AT_FDCWD, "/home/admin/.cache/gotop/errors.log", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = 3
09:40:37 remote.go:235: VARS = map[]
termbox: error while reading terminfo data: termbox: unsupported terminal
This issue can be fixed by manually symlinking /etc/terminfo to /usr/share/terminfo
