setup-keymap: no parenthesis for KEYMAP results in failing loadkmap (/etc/conf.d/loadkmap)
Hello, i tried to set the keymap (de) with loadkmap during boot (rc-init: default) for a console setup. But the service failed to start due to this message:
* Executing: /lib/rc/sh/openrc-run.sh /lib/rc/sh/openrc-run.sh /etc/init.d/loadkmap start
* Setting keymap ...
zcat: short read
loadkmap: short read
[ !! ]
* ERROR: loadkmap failed to start
setup-keymap configures /etc/conf.d/loadkmap like this:
# Absolut path to the keymap which should be loaded using loadkmap.
#KEYMAP="/usr/share/keymaps/xkb/us.map.gz"
KEYMAP=/etc/keymap/de.bmap.gz
Adding parenthesis to the KEYMAP entry solves the issue:
# Absolut path to the keymap which should be loaded using loadkmap.
#KEYMAP="/usr/share/keymaps/xkb/us.map.gz"
KEYMAP="/etc/keymap/de.bmap.gz"
Thanks and greetings,
