Seems like there are a number of docker users that have problems with
http. Lets use https for docker images by default.

The nomodeset was used to make it easy to test alpine with qemu -curses,
but it causes problems for users so we remove it.

This change broke CI because the -r3 version uninstalled the
ca-certificates.crt breaking everything.

Lets keep ca-certificates dependency for a while more.
