nlplug-findfs not found in initird
Hi,
for some reason I ended up with plenty of initrds that didn’t have the
tool inside, meaning root was not mountable.
At the same time, and I think it’s related / has a common cause, there
was also no working keyboard input.
This occured on edge
This occured on 3.3
This does not occur on 3.2
I tried rebuilding using update-extlinux and apk fix mkinitfs, I also
reinstalled it.
/sbin/nlplug in the OS has been around during that whole time, copying
this into the initrd did not work since it’s not static.
I can provide broken initrds for review, but this issue has sucked up my debugging time for the next month.
For now I’ve gone back to 3.2, anything else has turned out to be
unusable due to this issue.
If someone tries to debug this: please keep an eye out for the no input
issue since that is extra weird…

- Revision 7b5319cd by Natanael Copa on 2015-11-24T09:37:00Z:
main/mkinitfs: make sure nlplug-findfs are included in initramfs
If user had a modified /etc/mkinitfs/features.d/base.files we may not
get the needed nlplug-findfs. Use post-* script to verify it is actually
there.
