linux-lts Kernel is not compiled with CONFIG_HUGETLBFS, breaking support for writing values in sysfs to control huge pages
Despite it's name of CONFIG_HUGETLBFS
, this value needs to be true for support for the hugepages-{}kB
entries in sysfs to be present and for the similar tunables in /proc/sys/vm
. Without this, it is impossible to find out how many gigantic pages are in use and to change huge page pool sizes, globally and per NUMA node.
