## Summary
While preparing an upgrade from Alpine Linux 3.17 to 3.19 for some of our containers we noticed a
regression in xmllint (which is part of libxml2-utils).
The version shipped in 3.19 doesn't return `!= 0` anymore in case the result of an XPath query is
empty. This started with [this
commit](https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libxml2/-/commit/e85f9b98a5389c69167176ae6600091e719ec38f)
that made it into [2.11.0](https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libxml2/-/releases/v2.11.0).
After some discussion in upstream issues [673](https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libxml2/-/issues/673)
and [690](https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libxml2/-/issues/690), the previous behaviour was restored
in release [2.12.6](https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libxml2/-/releases/v2.12.6).
It'd be great if the libxml2(-utils) version in 3.19 could either be bumped to the latest release or
pull in the [fix as a
patch](https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libxml2/-/commit/87bebd25f11be333f0742ee5dc80e07d306c76df).https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/aports/-/issues/15925community/kicad: wxWidgets 3.2.0 or greater is required2024-03-28T08:46:15ZPatrycja Rosaalpine@ptrcnull.mecommunity/kicad: wxWidgets 3.2.0 or greater is requiredlatest KiCad from edge seems to fail build with:

## Summary
Executing `su` from `util-linux-login` in up-to-date Alpine Edge install segfaults with the message:
```sh
Interestingly, running `su` without `-` results in different message:
```sh

Password:
su: failed to execute /bin/ash: Bad address
```
Also, every execution of the command prints segfaults in dmesg:
```sh

## Summary
Starting `cadaver` and issuing the `lls` command results in an error message instead of the list of the local directory.
The message is suspiciously similar to the an error message from BusyBox.
## Steps to reproduce
* Start the program: `cadaver`
* Feel free to actually connect to a server
* Issue the command `lls` (i.e. try to obtain the list of local files)
* Observe the error message: `lls: applet not found`https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/aports/-/issues/15921community/pdal: 112 - pdal_info_test (Failed)2024-03-27T11:07:05ZNatanael Copacommunity/pdal: 112 - pdal_info_test (Failed)<!--

The script: `/etc/network/if-up.d/dad` is not POSIX complaint. When replacing `/bin/sh -> /bin/busybox` with `/bin/sh -> /usr/bin/dash`, the following error message is shown when booting the system:
```sh
I didn't test this yet, but maybe the following could do the trick:
```sh

## Summary
Power estimates are not shown in "powertop --calibrate" output, nor in "powertop" output. "/var/cache/powertop/saved_parameters.powertop" is not created.
## Steps to reproduce
On a fresh installation of Alpine Standard 3.19.1, install powertop using "apk update", followed by "apk add powertop".
Run the command "powertop --calibrate".
No power estimates column shown in output.
No "/var/cache/powertop/saved_parameters.powertop" produced.
Downgrading to 2.11-rc1 resolves the issue, and "/var/cache/powertop/saved_parameters.powertop" is produced too.Steven GuikalSteven Guikalhttps://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/aports/-/issues/15917community/gnome-extensions-app: GNOME 46 extensions app won't launch2024-03-26T14:58:47ZAngelo Verlain Shemacommunity/gnome-extensions-app: GNOME 46 extensions app won't launch<!--

The py3-httpbin's `pyproject.toml` has `flasgger` listed in dependencies.
I also notice that the tests are disabled, which is why it was not detected earlier.

Unfortunately I can't achieve it on alpine. If I install dhcpcd, I'll get a dynamic ip while the ipv4 static ip is present. If I install dhclient it gets stuck permanently.
```
iface eth0 inet6 auto
address fd00::171/64
pre-up echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/eth0/accept_ra
```
This results in only static ip.
```
iface eth0 inet6 static
pre-up echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/eth0/accept_ra
post-up dhclient -6 eth0
```
This results in dead interface.
```
iface eth0 inet static
iface eth0 inet6 dhcp
```
This results in get ips both ipv4 and ipv6.
On the other hand, running `ping -6 ipv6 address` or `dhclient -6 eth0` will get an unresponsive system.

* Alpine architecture: x86_64
## Summary
DNS resolution in firefox is extremely slow when visiting sites (for example, fonts.googleapis.com took up to 6 seconds).
It is also very common to get NS_ERROR_UNKNOWN_HOST when viewing Network tab in devtools, which is a DNS failure. As a result of those failures certain subdomains don't load and the website is missing stylesheets/js.
Refreshing the page a few times resolves DNS issues if there were any.
The issue does not seem to apply to tools like `nslookup` or `ping`, which are able to resolve domain name almost instantly
I don't know if the same issue applies for chromium, needs further testing.
## Steps to reproduce
* Visit a site which wasn't visited in current session yet
* Firefox might get stuck for about 2-5 seconds without anything being shown in the status line
* DNS resolution may take longer than expected
* Depending on your luck, you either get greeted with "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site." screen, or a site with partially loaded CSS. And if you're really lucky it will load on first try.https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/aports/-/issues/15908vim emits "map not implemented" when map syntax appears in startup file2024-03-23T15:50:59ZDavid Favorvim emits "map not implemented" when map syntax appears in startup file<!--

## Summary
Secrets (`secrets`, from package `gnome-passwordsafe`) crashes on startup because module `pkg_resources`, imported from `pykeepass`, can't be found. Installing `py3-setuptools` fixes the issue, so I assume it's simply a missing dependency (aside from `pkg_resources` being deprecated, but that's an upstream issue, not one with the Alpine package).
## Steps to reproduce
Assuming `py3-setuptools` isn't already installed on your system, just install `gnome-passwordsafe` and start `secrets`:
```sh
$ secrets
