It seems that the pull request has been approved (here
https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/pull/73101). Is it possible to
update the kubernetes’ apk?
Running the
<code class="text">kubelet</code>
command gives lots of errors, too. For now the k8s packages are pretty
useless. Currently on edge version(s).

In our work, we need custom Alpine docker and for that we need to remove
some packages from the final image\[minirootfs\] (basically, anything
that related to network/ssl)
We try to remove the packages from the container itself from inside, but
doing “apk del ssl\_client” for example, do nothing.
We also tried to edit the genrootfs script so after adding all the
packages it will delete those we don’t want, but if I do:
<code class="text">
${APK:-apk} del --keys-dir "$keys_dir" \
--repositories-file "$repositories_file" \
*--root "$tmp"* $unwanted_packages
</code>
The script crash, and if I remove **—root “$tmp”** I receive permissions
error, probably since it tries to delete the container packages.
Is there any way to accomplish what we want? maybe prevent “apk add” to
install those packages?

virtualbox-additions-grsec installed. I’d love to try Alpine Linux in
virtualbox before installing on bare metal but I can never get XFCE4 up
and running on Virtualbox. Doing “startx” starts to run it, but drops
back to console with red background. Either wiki needs updated, or
packages need to be included in repos…
Doing “apk add virtualbox-additions-grsec” gives error Unsatisfied
constraints:
virtualbox-additions-grsec (missing):
required by: world\[virtualbox-additions-grsec\]
And I even uncommented out the testing repo… and ran apk update first,
and also installed regular virtualbox-guest-additions and tried this
again and still no luck.

I have created a wiki article, and experienced the following issues due
to TOR usage:
- Registration is not allowed
- Randomly the preview function does not work, because the IP is
blocked
- Can’t create a page with any links. Whenever I want to paste a link,
for example to Freedesktop.org, I get the following text after
pressing submit:
- This action has been automatically identified as harmful, and
therefore disallowed. If you believe your action was
constructive, please inform an administrator of what you were
trying to do. A brief description of the abuse rule which your
action matched is: 001
It would be very nice, if you could let go of the TOR blocking
altogether. After all, there is no blocking for the Redmine based
bugtracker I’m currently using, and this does not seem to be an issue
either.
