fcron dosn't work since 3.8
Hello @ all,
Since upgrade to 3.8 fcron is not working anymore.
I found out, that the user and group “fcron” was gone, I tried to reaktivate them but no success.
After a reboot, I tried to start fcron and get the following:
xen-cel [~]# service fcron start
* Starting fcron ... [ ok ]
xen-cel [~]# service fcron status
* status: crashed
That’s it, for testing again I have to reboot the whole maschine.
Also is the start script not up to date …
I tried to update it by my self, hopfully it’s ok.
That’s what I did (/etc/init.d/fcron):
<code class="text">
#!/sbin/openrc-run
# Initscript by Diaz Devera Victor <vitronic2@gmail.com>
# Copyright 2014 Alpine Linux
# Distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License v2
#name="advanced periodic command scheduler fcron"
name=$SVCNAME
pidfile="/var/run/$SVCNAME.pid"
command="/usr/sbin/$SVCNAME"
depend() {
need localmount
need logger
}
start() {
ebegin "Starting $name"
start-stop-daemon --start --exec ${command} \
--pidfile "$pidfile.pid"
eend $?
}
stop() {
ebegin "Stopping $name"
start-stop-daemon --stop --exec ${command} \
--pidfile "$pidfile.pid"
eend $?
}
</code>
If any more data or help is needed yust let me know!
Thank’s
Kind regards
