audit kernel support missing
Description:
When running the command ‘auditctl -l’ on an Alpine Linux version 3.7.0
I get the following error message:
Error - audit support not in kernel
Cannot open netlink audit socket
The kernel module for audit service and userland commands is not
compiled in:
https://git.alpinelinux.org/cgit/aports/tree/main/linux-hardened/config-hardened.x86_64#n79
https://git.alpinelinux.org/cgit/aports/tree/main/linux-vanilla/config-vanilla.x86_64
# CONFIG_AUDIT is not set
Expected behaviour:
auditctl -l
No rules
Actual behaviour:
auditctl -l
Error - audit support not in kernel
Cannot open netlink audit socket
