lighttpd-1.4.29-r2: mod_auth missing?

I decided to give mod_auth in the latest version of lighttpd a spin today. I attempted to restart lighttpd, which failed. I then checked the conf:

$ lighttpd -f /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf
2011-09-03 04:33:05: (plugin.c.169) dlopen() failed for: /usr/lib/lighttpd/mod_auth.so File not found
2011-09-03 04:33:05: (server.c.657) loading plugins finally failed

I checked the /usr/lib/lighttpd dir, and mod_auth.so was indeed missing. Was mod_auth somehow left out of this release?
