lvm on 2 disk raid1 mdadm for root fails to boot
Fabled suggested I file a bug after failing to boot alpine on mdadm raid with lvm for root.
Followed standard setup-alpine lvm / sys install with mdadm on 2 SSD
Boot on md0 and root on md1.
ARRAY /dev/md0 metadata 0.90 UUID=…
ARRAY /dev/md1 metadata=1.2 name=foo1:1 UUID=…
Included 2 bad photos of end of debug_init and nlplugfs-findfs -d due to no serial access to machine.
After exiting to emergency shell I can boot alpine by:
- mdadm —assemble —scan
- lvm vgscan
- lvm vgchange -ay
- mount root on /sysroot and exit
Thank you for all the great work and let me know if you need me to try something.
