Upgrade 'luacheck' package to use a maintained fork of the (now defunct) project
I just tried opening an issue for the luacheck project and was informed that the original maintainer has died and that others who are now maintaining the project have created a new GitHub repository for it.
This is the issue in question: https://github.com/mpeterv/luacheck/issues/223
And this is apparently the new repository for the project: https://github.com/lunarmodules/luacheck
I looked at the project history since mpeterv/luacheck
was forked to lunarmodules/luacheck
, and it indeed looks like the new maintainers have done some nice work on it. (For example, the forked version supports Lua 5.4. They have also added a couple more new lint checks which look useful.)
If you feel this is a good idea, I can send a MR.
