Loading keymap before unlocking ZFS full-disk encryption

Hello,

I am running Alpine 3.15.0 with an encrypted ZFS root partition. At boot, I am prompted to unlock the disk by putting in my passphrase, however I noticed that the keyboard layout at this stage is still the default US keyboard, meaning I have to deliberately "mistype" it as if I was using a US keyboard while creating the passphrase.

I see that zfs-import and zfs-mount are started in runlevel sysinit, while loadkmap (I assume that loads the keyboard layout) is in runlevel boot, meaning that it is started later in the process.

Is it possible to load the keymap before the system gets to any full-disk encryption setup like LUKS or ZFS?
