main/linux-*: rfc: avoid linux-firmware dependency
(Hello everyone and cheers to this wonderful distro! I'm hope writing this in the correct section/way.)
Currently, all the linux packages depends on linux-firmware, that is firmware files for all the supported hardware. The linux-firmware package seems in turn to depends on (all) the single linux-firmware-* packages.
Given the minimalism of Alpine Linux, I think it may be useful to get rid of the linux-firmware dependency when installing the linux package, and make linux-firmware optional.
This approach is currently followed by other distributions like Arch Linux. This will also enable an administrator to eventually install only the required linux-firmware-* packages for its platform (thus making the linux-firmware-* sub-packages effectively useful).
What do you think?
