GNOME 40.1: Firefox, Chromium, GIMP won't launch anymore on Wayland

Description

I updated my Alpine edge install (GNOME 40.0 --> 40.1) and Firefox and GIMP won't launch anymore, other programs launch just fine. Running the command firefox or gimp in a terminal just hangs without any information.

Workaround for Firefox

By default Firefox uses X11 so XWayland is used to launch it on Wayland systems. Setting MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 in the desktop file works around the problem as Firefox launches then with Wayland as window system. However, clicking on links won't start Firefox anymore.
