vlc icons, appdata and desktop file are in vlc package, but the GUI is in vlc-qt package
Currently, when installing vlc from GNOME Software, you will only install vlc
, and not vlc-qt
. That's probably not what people expect.
It also means that people will see a VLC icon in the application list, but vlc won't launch on click. This will likely lead to confused users like in https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/issues/619.
I'll attempt a MR for this.
