I’ve been tinkering with the APKBUILD but I’m still scratching my head.
This would also seem to affect the worker mpm, as

above.

main/apache2: fix worker and itk mpms, added itk configuration
The trouble I had while debugging this issue had to do with how I was attempting to install packages from aports. Thanks to Timo and Natanael for getting me back on the right track.
Once I was able to successfully install apache2 from aports, I got down to business. I have an updated APKBUILD that seems to fix the issue of having extra modules being compiled in with the alternative "itk" and "worker" MPMs; "{httpd,httpd.itk,httpd.worker} -l" output looks correct, and they all start without modifications to /etc/apache2/httpd.conf, so I believe this issue to be resolved.
I also added the itk configuration to httpd.conf.

I tried at one point, to move swap to the sysinit runlevel, but it seems
that its the first thing to go when doing a halt or reboot.. so I’m not
sure how to go about ‘fixing’ this.
Keep in mind that if we do move swap to another runlevel, setup-disk
needs to reflect this as well.

is deleted. This appears to take place when any of the default periodic
jobs are executed. It does not appear to happen if the crontab never
editted.
Test: I added a line to the root crontab to execute a script every 10
minutes. The script simply writes a line to stdout.
The line I added to crontab looks like this: **/10** \* \* \*
/root/crontest
I used the crontab -e command to edit the crontab. After writing away
the change, a file called ‘cron.update’ appears in /etc/crontabs/,
containing a single line: root
Cron executes my job without issues until the first of the default
periodic jobs is executed. At this point it removes both the
‘update.cron’ file and the root crontab completely. A backup of the
crontab is kept in /var/spool/cron/cron.root.\*
The above example is not completely reliable for the reason that the
removal of the crontab does not necessarily occur on the execution of
the *first* subsequent periodic job, but definitely at some point
thereafter.
As I mentioned, if the crontab is never editted, this doesnt happen.

BusyBox, the standard plugins will not work unless the configure script
is adjusted. I have an adjusted version and a set of instructions to
correctly compile the plugins. Please contact me when you are ready.
**NOTE:** The existing nrpe apk package uses /usr/libexec/ as the
location of the NRPE plugin. This represents two errors. First, the NRPE
package goes on client computers and generally does not need the
check\_nrpe plugin. This plugin should be part of the standard plugin
package. Secondly, there are hard-wired values in the standard plugins
to use /usr/local/nagios/libexec/ as the standard plugin location. If
this location is not used problems result.
