apk3: making --no-chown more useful?
In my build system, I thought I could possibly use --no-chown
to be able to use apk add
to create a root filesystem for a user namespace without needing fakeroot
(in the namespace I don't really care about ownership since it's unprivileged and restricted to a single UID). However, this does not seem to work, because while --no-chown
will indeed prevent the fchownat
calls from taking place, I am still getting EPERM
during renameat
in the commit step.
