lbu: commit single file option?

On a diskless mode install, one can use lbu to keep system in a given state.
Few files/directories outside of /etc can be included in lbu configuration.

At some point, one may want to update only one specific file, and would like to avoid committing the whole thing again (some unwanted changes and/or optimization).
I see lbu commit -d just updates the whole set of included files or directories: how can I update just one file (or dir) among them?

Can't find an option for that: could that be a feature under consideration?
