Running abuild without gcc results with a crypted error message
When abuild -r
is run without the gcc
package installed (which is possible when one installs the abuild
package without installing the alpine-sdk
package) the program runs happily during the package build process and died with a cryptic /usr/bin/abuild: cd: line 1652: can't cd to /root/packages//main/unknown: No such file or directory
error message.
IMO abuild should check whether the $CC dumpmachine
command (https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/abuild/blob/master/functions.sh.in#L120) successfully ended and the output is valid, while errors gracefully when it's not.
